The grapes for Vignoble Drouard Muscadet ‘Fief de l’Ancruère’ Fût de Châtaigner are grown on the Fief de L’Ancruère, a six hectare site facing towards the warm sun with a south eastern aspect. The wine is aged in chestnut barrels which allow micro-oxygenation of the wine and a subtle delicate hint of flavouring. There is a beautiful, enticing light yellow colour with amber highlights, the minerally nose flatters with slightly toasted notes. On the palate this stunningly elegant wine has a light, all encompassing flavour and there are lingering white fruits on the great length finish.
Pair Vignoble Drouard Muscadet ‘Fief de l’Ancruère’ Fût de Châtaigner with seafood such as monkfish skewers, grilled fish, shrimps and prawns. Alternatively it is a great wine for a cheese board.
